Active School Walk Way

The official opening of the Active School Walkway took place on Friday the 30th of April 2021. Our local sports hero and world champion race walker Mike Keohane officiated the ceremony.
There are two walkways around the school:
                                                              Long Route 319m long
                                                              Short Route 239m long
This Active School Walkway will be used by all classes to promote physical activity and cross-curricular learning.

Active lines:
In the morning as part of our assembly and throughout the day when we line up, we stay active. Pupils from our school are Playground leaders and they demonstrate the exercises to the whole school.

Active lunchtimes:
Every class gets an extended classroom based physical activity break on the days when we are unable to play outdoors. Today when it was raining we stayed active by using 'Go Noodle'.
